Street Art

Sunday, January 29, 2012

Some people refer it as graffiti, but here in Los Angeles, they call it art. Everywhere you go in this city you can see various forms of street art. It is just as illegal as tagging with gang signs, but somehow much more tolerated, I dare say encouraged? I am a fan of art of all kinds so I enjoy the expression. I suppose if I was a business owner whose building kept getting spray painted, I may think differently, but I'm not, and I don't.

My only real complaint about the street art is, it's never permanent. You can see something really cool (Like a giant picture of Twiggy) and then a week later it's gone. It's a strange city I live in, but I love every dirty piece of it!
