Okay, so have you seen all these sexy pictures of women with those perfect wavy locks? Well, let me tell you, I have tried every stinkin' Pinterest tutorial in order to get that "beachy" look, and #failure every time! I don't know if it's operator error, or that my hair just sucks....
I have not given up though on this "my hair looks messy on purpose" look. I found a method that works for me and I have been hair-tool-free for over a week! How you ask? Well, my hair does have a little natural curl to it, so I just scrunch it with some mousse while wet and let it hair dry. I continue to scrunch it infrequently as it dries in order to avoid that wet hair "chola" look from the 90's. If I fuss with it too much, my hair becomes a frizzy mess. I have been thoroughly enjoying not having to blow dry and straighten my hair every day. I think I will continue this trend until my boss informs me that I need to look more "presentable."
Moving on.... this hair talk has little to do with today's outfit. It's more of a disclaimer of why my hair will look messy in my up coming photos :D Today's look is a recent favorite of mine. These white Gap shorts are so comfortable and a great length! Also, I just adore the dip-dyed, creamsicley, silk blouse! This summer look cost $26.48... not too darn bad!!

How do you find such AMAZING clothes from the Goodwill?? I hardly ever find anything good while thrifting! Your blog is so lovely. I definitely love how you're able to create full outfits so inexpensively! :)

Loving the crap out of those shoes! Also, despite the fact that I am repeatedly told how lucky I am to have naturally wavy hair it sure as hell doesn't feel that way when most of the time my tresses are kinked in odd ways that refuse to be tamed.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this outfit! Definitely reminds me of a creamsicle. So refreshing and summery- and those shoes are awesome. I've had a lot of luck with rag curls- a beautiful mess tutorial I found on pinterest, and making sure my hair is at least 80% dry before I do anything otherwise it's too damp! I'me going to be insanely lazy with my hair this summer too. I always ceremoniously shove all my styling tools intot he closet on the last day of school!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit! I love a good deal ! Just started following you on GFC and bloglovin. Check out my new blog and follow back if you would like :)
