Chambray & Flowers

Thursday, August 23, 2012

As you may have read a couple days ago, I made my own embellished collar (tutorial here), and I have been dying to style it! It's a very over-the-top kind of accessory, and since I am not hitting any Vegas clubs in the near future, I decided to dress it down. I paired it with a Chambray button down, and a floral skirt that I wear pretty frequently (you may have seen it here). I wore this outfit to work on Tuesday. I thought it was professional with just the right amount of flair! I also sported some new hoop earrings I picked up (I've never worn hoop earrings.. this is a first for me). This outfit rang in around $26.00!

P.S. I'm sorry the photos of the collar are not more clear, those little rhinestones reflect light better than a disco ball!

Both looks are great! The first one is a bit more summery while the second is a great transition for August. Great finds!

I think I love today's look the best. That collar may be blingy for out and about but it looks amazing on the blog. I love it and it looks perfect under your chambray top! Very cute floral skirt too. I love it! :) <3

I love the playfulness of the first look and the classic look in the second, so it's hard to decide which I like best. I love the collar though! Recently I was sort of stressing over whether or not to wear collars with collar shirts, but you've definitely taken all the worry out of me. Great post!

Call me obsessed with embellished collars. Topshop has some amazing ones right now in faux leather. You did such a great job! Love the floral skirt with neutral wedges. You look super stylish Tori!
