I have lived in Los Angeles for two years now and I feel like I never get out and experience all the festivities LA has to offer. The same thing happened when I lived in Chicago. I was working 30 hours/week and taking 14 units each quarter, so time was never on my side.
Recently I vowed to start taking part on all the fun things LA has to offer, so I began googling street fairs, festivals and any other city events. The most recent one, was a street fair in Los Feliz. Los Feliz is a really cool neighborhood of LA. It is in between Hollywood and Silverlake, giving it the perfect combination of hipster and grunge :D
This street festival has apparently been going on annually for 20 years! It's not very big, but it had a ton of food vendors and craft/jewelry booths. It was atypically hot in LA this day, so we didn't stay long, but I did feel accomplished that I made the effort to experience some of LA's culture!
I wore my new favorite top, a peplum corset, isn't it adorable?!? This top is Rebecca Taylor and retails for an insane amount of money at retailers like Bergdorf Goodman. It has to be one of my best Goodwill finds to date!! I also wore my trusty teal cut offs, I think this is the 4th time they've made an appearance ;) My entire look rang in under 40 bucks!! I love being a thrifter!!

I didn't realize you live in CA! I am in love with your arm candy and nail polish color! And if I had to live in L.A. again Los Feliz, Burbank\Pasadena would be my first picks- but that's pretty much it. I didn't realize Los Feliz had a street fair! Too bad I didn't go! -Jessica L
