I have a fun and easy nail tutorial for you today! I don't know if you've been by any make up counter lately, but they are trying to sell you on how versatile loose powder make up is. You can mix water with your powder shadows to create a cream shadow, you can mix it with clear lip gloss and make a colored gloss, or you can mix it with clear nail polish and make a new color, etc... All cool things, but I have another innovative way to use your powered make up. Instead of mixing your make up with clear polish, I decided to lightly dust my already painted nails for a pixie dust effect.
It's super easy, all you have to do is paint your finger/toe nails a base coat, then while they're drying, take a paint brush (or make up brush) and splatter your make up on top. All you have to do after that is seal it with a clear coat and wipe off the excess. You can do this with any color powders you have, even those glittery eye shadows. The powder I am using today is actually intended to be used as blush, but I thought it would go great with my purple toes!
I originally tried this technique on my fingers with some gold eye shadow.
It's really fun and gives a totally new look to an ordinary manicure!
