2012 {outfit post} Wrap Up

Saturday, December 29, 2012

It's official, my second year of blogging has commenced. 2012 has been one of the best years to date and I have expanded my knowledge of blogging, social media and the internet in general far beyond anything I could have ever comprehended. I've stated before that my first year of blogging was a throw away year, but a very crucial part in my learning curve. This past year I really found my footing and my voice. I am so very thankful to the numerous people who support me. I have reconnected with childhood friends and met some amazing blog pals across the globe. I never ever envisioned my life going in this direction, but I am thankful that I committed to this 2 years ago. When I graduated college, all my professors were pissed when they asked me what my career plans were. My response was simple "I will let the universe guide me." That response may have seemed like a cop-out but I felt my life had be unraveling for far too long and the harder I gripped onto what I believed to be the right path, the more twisted the path became. At 24 I decided to open myself up to any and all opportunities that came to me. Blogging was one of those unexpected opportunities.

I was an artist growing up, but words were never my strong suit. I preferred math and science to English and creative writing, and here I find myself. Writing countless paragraphs every week and researching every article about blogging I can get my hands on. It's funny how things work out. However, I would have never ended up here if I had kept my tunnel vision and not opened myself up to the universe.

So, what I'm trying to say is, it's been one hell of an odyssey! I am so excited to see what 2013 brings and I am eager to keep learning and to keep growing. Here is a look back at the past year, it is just a small sample of my closet, click the "outfits" tab at the top of the page to see all my ensembles since day one. Thank you for continuing on this journey with me!!
