{outfit post} Hollywood Lookout

Thursday, January 3, 2013

This post should have been called frizzy hair and hazy skies. We shot these photos just before Christmas, in between the incessant rain showers. I was feeling pretty sick this day, but I really wanted to take some pictures from one of my favorite look out spots. This spot is right above the Greek Theater, off Mulholland Dr. On a clear day you can see all of downtown, all the way to the ocean and the Hollywood sign.. today, not so much. The funny thing about this photo sesh is that when we showed up there was no one around. But, as I was trying to walk down the 40 cement stairs, a tour bus pulled up. Every single tourist stared at me in my high heel boots and polka dot tights trying not to fall down the slick steps. I could just hear their thought bubbles going crazy, thinking "is this what crazy Angelinos wear everyday?" Yes, people of Omaha, this is what this crazy Angelino wears everyday.

You're looking down on the top of the Greek Theater and the 101 freeway. In the far distance you can see a hint of downtown LA

On a clear day you can see the Hollywood sign without any struggle. This day the rain clouds were heavy and really blocked any view. If you look hard, you can see the white outline of where the Hollywood sign is.

Los Angeles is one place that I don't really know about because I've only ever spent time in Orange County. It looks like there is so many interesting places. I love your polka dot tights and your necklace is so pretty! <3

The polka dot tights with boots look great! I bought a pair of similar tights with huge black polka dots & I have yet to figure out how to style them. I tried a black skirt, turtleneck & heels, but that didn't work. Hmm....maybe a black-n-white striped top... thanks for the inspiration.
