Dear Tequila,

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

I was raised on country music and my first CD was Tim McGraw in 1995. My parents and grandparents only listened to country, so there was little opportunity as a kid to have other influences. When I reached junior high my musical education became schizophrenic, between Sublime, Spice Girls, Ace of Base and KC and JoJo.. it was hard to nail down which genre I most related to. Country was always my base, always my reference point, and for that I have deep appreciation. In the past 20 years however I have diversified, I have been exposed to almost every type of music and I have a very eclectic play list. I still keep up with the newest country music, but I find myself listening to a lot of singer/song writer stuff these days. When I found this tank, I immediately fell in love! I love this Kenny Chesney song (it's one of the few I do like). I find it ironic though that it's 85 bucks (retail) because I can't think of one single hick who would pay that for it :D. I luckily found it at my favorite thrift store and it was brand new! It also has tags on it with instructions to dry clean.. pretty sure it's getting hand washed. Who dry cleans a tank top?!?

P.S. Although I will shoot some Patron... I'm more of a whiskey girl myself... Something about "...can't take the country out of the girl."

I am so jealous of all the sunshine in your pictures! And (secretly) my music foundation is in country too. But the only ones I tap in to today is Johnny Cash. Gotta love a deep voiced man! haha

$85 retail?
That's insane!!!!
I don't know anyone who would spend that either ;)
Glad that you scored it, brand new!
It's super cute!!!!

I'm a huge country buff. But I wasn't always. I started listening to it in the early 2000's and hated myself for judging it so poorly previously.
It's my go to nowadays.
I still listen to pretty much anything, but country is my top.<3

I'm a country girl too, more of a southern rock I think like Lynrd Skynrd and Blackberry Smoke : ) Very cute T, and how lucky to get it brand new. 85.00 for a t-shirt, hmm, nope don't know anybody who would spend that on a t-shirt.

Love that you did the pics in black and white. I broke up with tequila last year after my 27th birthday. It's over.
