Maxi Dress: Simply Audrey (similar) // Heels: Steve Madden (similar) // Necklace: Express // Ring: Mossimo // Cuff: Forever 21 (similar)

I found this maxi a few days ago, and it is now my most favorite that garment I own! I love the print, color and shape. I knew I wanted to wear it to our friend's wedding this past weekend too! We felt so honored to share their special day with them! I am going to step up on my soap box for a small moment, and just say how supportive I am of same sex marriage! I found their wedding to be one of the most joyous occasions I have been to in my entire life. I have been to many weddings, but none like this. This ceremony was about one thing, the commitment of these two women. Unlike heterosexual couples, who I feel take their right to wed for granted, these two know what the meaning of a marriage is. They didn't get married because someone was pregnant, or because they needed citizenship, or because all their friends were doing it. They held a ceremony (that is not recognized by the state of California) in front of their closest family and friends to show their love for one another. It was that simple. There were no other ulterior motives involved, it was pure love. My husband and I felt lucky to even be allowed to witness such an intimate event. These two are so very fortunate to have found each other and to truly have so many in support of them! I think the world needs not only more acceptance, but more love. We should never deny anyone the right to love another soul, period.

I'll leave you with this video from Macklemore an Ryan Lewis. It is so beautifully written and filmed. It makes my heart happy that there are people out there who are spreading love instead of hate.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “One who’s our friend is fond of us one who’s fond of us isn’t necessarily our friend.” by Geoffrey F. Albert.

Love the dress! I cannot believe you found it for under 10! And hopefully someday it won't be so unique to attend a same-sex wedding. We'll all eventually understand that love is beautiful, not something to put limits on.
