Anything + Everything Blog Hop

Monday, June 10, 2013

This past weekend, I went to my first ever Dodger game! I have lived in LA for three years, and had never been to a game. In all honesty, I was never a big sports fan growing up, my dad rarely watched any sports. It wasn't until I met my husband, that I adopted his love of baseball. We've been to many games in our 8 years together, and it's a dream of ours to visit every major league ballpark in America. So far.... I've been to 3.I'm failing. Hopefully we can scratch the Padres and the Giants off our list soon!
My husband and I tried to hunt down some Dodger gear before the game, but came up empty. He REALLY, REALLY wants a Puig jersey, so the hunt will undoubtedly continue.

Out of all the baseball games we've been to, I've never received any promotional gifts. The Dodgers were giving out replica rings from the 1963 World Series! It was a pretty cool token, but it doesn't even come close to fitting my fingers!

Yes, my husband is wearing a Yankees hat... at a Dodger game. No, we didn't get booed. He is a die hard Yankees fan, and to be fair, he wears that hat everywhere, he wasn't trying to be a rebel. It was such a fun night! I highly recommend a baseball game as a date night idea if you live close to a major (or even minor league) field. We drank beer, we had a Dodger Dog (my first and last!), we had garlic fries and a churro! Such fatties!! What did you do this weekend?

Now, onto the Blog Hop! If you're new to this hop, it's really simple. There is a very short list of directions below, and you can basically link up anything (and everything) you've been working on lately! Whether it's your new favorite recipe, the skirt you just scored on clearance, or your summer playlist, share it all! Also, every week I will be featuring a blogger from the previous week's link-up (You are making it so hard to choose just one!!). Be sure to check out our featured blogger, along with a couple other blog hoppers too!!

This week's Blogger of the Week, is someone who I stalk regularly. Sheree is a wildcard, I never know what to expect when I visit her blog. She is adventurous and playful, in ways I can only dream of being. I love that Sheree looks so polished in all her photos, but did you know she used that neon Dickies top to go cicada hunting in with her fam? Talk about versatile! If you've never visited Sheree's Blog, "It's not that deep..." I highly recommend doing so. She often leaves me wondering how a mom of two manages to be so cool!?!

yay! I love this because I love baseball (Cardinals)! I went from 0 to 60 overnight - game 6 of the world series 2011 changed my life! I have never been the same since. I never in a million years thought I would like baseball, and yet now I watch every single game as if it were the world series all over again. Gosh, this makes me want to blog about baseball! haha! Anyhoo, yay for baseball, and thanks for hosting!! You and your husband are adorable!

Hope you enjoyed your first Dodger game. It looks like you had an awesome time! There's nothing like going to a baseball game on a beautiful summer day and drinking a beer or 2, or 3. ;]

Fun, fun! You could wrap fuzzy angora yard around the ring like we used to do in high school for the boyfriends class ring, it looks pretty cute : )

Sheree's jumper is fantastic! I'll have to check out her blog. I'm glad you had fun at the game--a rind is a pretty nice souvenir! It's kind of huge, but I'm sure you'll find a way to wear it.

That looks like so much fun. I always thought it was really difficult to get tickets to games. We are travelling to the States later in the year - maybe I should try to get some seats. Thanks again for hosting with the mosting!! Terrible photo I have this week because we were being silly on a treadmill, but, hey, I am here for the spirit of it!
