Lacy Blue

Lacy Blue... that could be the name of Beyonce's next baby. Speaking of Sasha Fierce, how fierce is this dress?!? Wow, I just went there didn't I. I said the word 'fierce.' I love this dress, but I tend to stay away from words like 'fierce' and 'adorbs' and only very rarely use 'gorge.' I hear other women say them, and the occasional gay male, but I don't think those words sound normal coming out of my mouth. I'm more of an F-bomber, if you know what I mean.

Anyways, that was way off topic... back to my dress. This lacy number might be my new favorite, it certainly rivals my pink Kate Spade dress! Blue has always been a favorite color of mine, I've never been a girly girly... I fake it well right? I love that this is a shift dress (meaning not fitted around the waist/hips, more of a bag shape). This dress is great at hiding any extra weight without looking frumpy!

Are you psyched that it's Thursday? I have had a long week, and I am super excited about my 4-day weekend next week! The hubs and I are heading to the grand canyon on the fourth; my first time ever! Do you have any plans for this weekend? Are you looking forward to the Fourth of July too?

Trivia: Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo created the wedge shoe. He designed the wedge heel in 1936. Wedges were most popular during the 70's and 90's but made another come back in 2006. (source: ehow)

I love this color of blue. It's so flattering on all skin tones. The mint green necklace looks great with it.

After a long week, I am looking forward to the weekend and then vacation for the 4th. Have fun at the Grand Canyon! Heather

Arghhh! Can I send you my weekly allowance and you and you can be my personal Goodwill shopper? Our Goodwill never gets cool brands - usually just White Stag (of WalMart fame). Love that dress - LOVE IT!
