First Lady Style

Sunday, September 23, 2012

Yes, it's an election year, no I'm not getting political on you. No matter your political party, you can't deny that Michelle Obama has suburb style. In my opinion, she is the most stylish first ladies since Jackie Kennedy. I am a really big fan of how affordable her fashions are as well! I have a feeling she has always been a frugal shopper, but in our economic depression, she has really tried to not go over the top with her fashion choices, and I immensely respect that.

When I found this dress, I immediately thought I could see the First Lady wearing it. It's classy and elegant, but still trendy and young. I love the purple tweed mixed with the navy color blocking. I think the length is great and the seaming is slimming.

I have ran through a variety of ways I want to style this dress; printed tights, a fur vest, a neon blazer.... but today, I went classic with it.
